I love Gasmask Terrör, a previous band for the drummer Luc. I saw them at Ace of Cups in Columbus, OH years ago and it was a great time. Gasmask were French d-beat rippers with frets on fire solos and shredded/raspy vocals that approached black metal territory (without going too far into the dungeon).

Bombardement brings a similar urgency and relentlessness, this time with excellent female vocals (in the decidedly more punk “shout” tradition) and even wilder guitars. I judge a record pretty fast sometimes but I knew in approximately 5 seconds Le Futur Est Là was my shit. D-beats for days, wild and often dueling rock n roll solos that seriously cannot be stopped, a fist pumper track 3 (every 3rd track should be a rocker), and a fittingly crisp overall production. They even manage to unironically throw some saxophones in on Poison, the sixth and longest track. The band has incredible taste because they managed to drop all these different flavors in the mix without losing any aggression. Can’t recommend enough.
